TREASURE COAST LIFE STYLE:
A Wonderful Place for Study, Work, and Play

Indian River County has a friendly, unpretentious atmosphere. Centrally located 70 miles south of the Kennedy Space Center and 135 miles north of Miami, our 543 square miles contain beautiful beaches, groves of renowned Indian River citrus, immaculate oceanfront estates, and riverfront communities. This unique setting, combined with our tourist industry and business community, continues to attract national and international attention.

Nearly 140,000 people reside in Indian River County, enjoying a climate moderated by the warm tropical waters of the Gulf Stream. Balmy winters combined with the summer’s fresh ocean breezes to keep the average temperature a delicious 73 degrees, allowing residents to swim, golf and play tennis all year long.

The cities of Fort Pierce, Vero Beach, Stuart, Okeechobee and Port St. Lucie offer an array of recreational and cultural events and leisure time activities. Local theatres present exciting seasons of music, comedy and drama. Art galleries, craft shows, and outdoor community events are always popular. Unique shops, convenient malls, a wide variety of restaurants, and professional services are also readily available.

Within an hour’s drive on the Florida Turnpike or I-95 are the city of West Palm Beach, many natural attractions, and the Kennedy Space Center. Only a short distance farther are the Florida Keys, Orlando, Disney World, and by air or boat, the Bahamas.
